The Lion Sands family of game lodges, not far from where I live, in South Africa, have a fantastic trio of tree houses where you can camp out, in absolute luxury. I was lucky enough to spend the night at a couple of them, for 'Escape' Magazine.
One day I'd like to set up something like this at Nantwich Lodge, in Zimbabwe. As a part owner I get to suggest crazy stuff like that.

Here's an article I wrote for 'Escape' about the merits of doing a self-drive safari in Africa. While I still believe this is the best way to see Africa and her wildlife, as the part-owner of a safari lodge I also highly recommend that you book some time in Nantwich Lodge, in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe!
